consisting of members of Sarcolytic, Sect Of Execration, Iniquitous, V.B.T., and Oppressive Force...Images Of Violence first formed in 2002 by Steven Watkins and Mlody of Poland's Reinfection, they recruited a bass player Oden for a short while and a singer who never showed up while having a hand full of songs that needed to be dealt with.. so Jon stepped in for vocalist. They recorded a a demo entitled "Burnt" with Mark Austin in Austin, Texas in 2003. After playing quite a few shows after the bass player stepped out, they recruited Mr. Denton who was currently in Alla Xul. They then recorded a mini cd released on Deepsend Records Entitled "Cadaverous Recompostion" with Austin, Texas based Bill Dawson at AudioHouse Studios in 2004. Soon after,said drummer could no longer hold himself together, they recruited Larry Jackson from Acerbus to tackle the percussive duties. with "flare"!! They joined Ossuary Industries in 2006, based out of Houston, Texas to produce their first full length entitled "Degrade The Shapeless" with Dobber's RedRoom Studios located in Houston, Texas. Shortly after, Dobber joined on as second guitar player for 2 shows, but had to respectively step down for many duties beckoned this busy man. They did write a song with him, that became the title track of their December 15th, 2013 release on Corpse Gristle Records, titled "Revenants", recorded with Kris of Amplitude Studios, located in Austin . Larry had left the band after the recording to attend school out of state, so the search commenced for a new drummer. Shane Elwell (VBT) joined the band in mid 2014. IOV entered Sound Crater Studios in San Antonio to record a demo consisting of two songs titled "wraith of mangled form" and "i am bitter atonement" They are currently playing live shows and continuing to write new material for their next full length release.
